zoom or pen while select onscreen method active

while i pick entities on screen ( by select onscreen ), i am not able to
zoom or move on the drawing to locate correct entity.
can someone pls suggestion the way?

 

I use a wheel mouse and are completely capable of panning and zooming while
using the selectonscreen method. I am not sure if there is a way to do it
thru code. I have never had a need to look.

 

Here is a list of solutions in order from best solution/to most expensive. HTH.

1. Use a scroll wheel mouse.
2. Find one of the code solution floating around.
3. Upgrade to AC 2004 which fixed this problem.
