This may sound strange but ....

In the course of my job I only need to work in 2 dimensions. Sometimes,
however, I receive drawings that have objects that have been positioned
at non zero locations on the Z axis. Is there a way to "flatten" a
drawing changing all z positions to zero?

likewise is there a way to constrain a drawing to two dimensions not
allowing z to change from zero?

    Thanks for any help.

  2. Try using the FLATTEN command.

That's embarrassing .... I've been using AutoCad (LT) for 9 years and
never come across that! Neither have my co-workers.

    Thanks
