Is there a way to find out if an XRef in a file is Loaded or Unloaded? Also, once an XRef is identified, can you tell whether it is attached as an Overlay or not?

    Thanks in advance,

For the first question: Yes. Once you have the Xref object check the count
property. If >0 then it's loaded.
For the second question: Yes, but not via ActiveX. It is exposed through the
dxf code 70 for the block definition.

If you do a search in this group for "overlay" I think that a routine has
been posted to extract this info.

    Jeff

    Thanks Jeff,
The code to figure out if an XRef is loaded was simple. The DXF part, I'm still working on but you definitely helped me go down the right path.
