Xref Overlay

    Is it possible to set the default xrference method to overlay?

    Right! It should be by default. We substitute the command with
    another that forces the attachment to be an overlay on a specific xref
    attachment layer so we can avoid some of the layer 0 conflicts . The
    command returns the current layer back to the original starting layer.

    In Autocad 2005, a new system variable was added:

    XREFTYPE=0 Attachment (default)
    XREFTYPE=1 Overlay

    We are currently using 2004 but now I have a good reason to roll out 2005
