Xref instertion issue

I am having trouble with an xref insertion. The block is a title sheet
with the lower left corner at 0,0 in the base drawing. When I go to the
receiving drawing, I attached the xref with an insertion point of 0,0
but the xref drawing appears way out in the middle of drawing space.

I tried having the insertion point dialog set to 0,0,0 and also using
"specify on screen" and typing in 0,0,0 and I get the same results.

If the base is 0,0 and the insertion is 0,0, shouldn't the drawing
    appear at 0,0?

    Please help!

    Thanks
    Andy

I have a similar error. My problem was the units were set differently.
Use the DDUNITS command and check the insertion scale.

I checked the UCS and both drawings are set to World.

I checked the units and the only difference between the two was that
one was set to 0'-0 1/16" accuracy and the other was set to 0'-0 1/64"
accuracy; I adjusted both to 1/16" and still have the same issues.

    I'll keep trying...

    Thanks

I found the issue. I did a comparison of all variable between my xref
base and a blank acad.dwt drawing.

The variable INSBASE in the base drawing was set to a really off number
and despite the fact that the drawing base content was at 0,0 and I
xref insertion to 0,0, the drawing always went to the INSBASE variable
that was hidden in the base drawing. I reset this to 0,0 and now all is
    well.

    Garbage in, garbage out.

    Thanks for your comments.
