We've just begun using 2005 on XP and W2K machines and have a Xerox 8850 plotter we've been using succesfully for 2002 for 2 years. The drivers for that plotter for 2005 were just updated from Xerox's web site so we installed them to the DRV folder we all share on our network. When using the add-a-plotter-wizard to create a new device and selecting the network plot server option, I'm given two options for Xerox devices, "Xerox" and "XES". Both appear to have the same devices listed, though it appears one is XES7.hdi (Xerox version 9) and the other XES8.hdi (Xerox version 10) of the drivers. The problem, if I select the XES8 driver to create the plotter, it appears as XES8 under the general tab until I finish the configuration. If I then go back to modify that configuration, it appears as XES7. It seems to me that it should not only keep to that, but why does the XES7 need to be there at all? I tried removing that file from the DRV folder temporarily and the plotter configuration wizard would not open up, so I put it back. Any ideas?
