Xerox 8825 problem

Anyone with an 8825 please help me...

I cannot seem to print a 'C' size Arch or Ansi without getting an extra 6"
of blank paper along the top.
We purchased this thing used so I don't really have any support for it.

I was successful in creating a 15x21 custom size for 30x42 half scale and it
cuts the paper just fine at 15" but for some reason I cannot create anymore
    that one custom size.

So if I print an 18x24 I get a 36(because of the roll size) x 24. It just
will not cut the paper at 18".

Anyone know how to resolve this? I've downloaded the latest drivers from
Xerox. I'm using the HPGL driver. The HDI driver does not print anything in
viewports but it prints everything on the defpoints layer. Go figure.

  2. We have an 8825 here. Try this. Instead of printing a drawing at 18 x
24 try telling it to print 24x18. This may solve the problem
    of the extra 6".

    Hope this helps.

You can also walk over to the printer and manually change the roll
configuration at the control panel. This will work.

We have 2 rolls of paper in ours.
    17" roll and 30" rolls.

For full size I am using Arch 30 (20x42") and for half scale I am using Ansi C (17x22")
In the margin and justification section of the driver I have it set to center.

There does not seem to be an "Inked area" option like in HP printers. So you have to
pick the correct paper size. With HP printers you can set your paper size to 36x600 and
it will cut the paper right at the end of your printed area regardless of the paper size.

In setting up a Xerox 8825 PC3 file how do you get
multiple custom paper sizes? I can only see on custom paper
size. When you set it up, it the Paper Size area of the autocad
plot dialog you can only see the word "Custom". Thus indicating
that you can only have one custom paper size.

I am setting up read only pc3 files on a central server. Users cannot
add custom paper sizes as they see fit, so I have to do it before hand.
Since there does not seem to be an inked area option in the driver I
cannot set a custom paper size as 36x600 and use it for all custom
    paper sizes.

    What to do?

What I've found so far was that I had to go into my printer folder where all
of my system printers are set up and right click on the Xerox and go into
Printing Preferences. From there you can add as many custom printers you
want. I cannot do this to a PC3 file or through AutoCAD only in the Printing
    Preferences.

But I still have a problem, I cannot get the paper sizes to show up on the
other computers even if I save and create a PC3 file and save a PMP file as
well. I guess I'll have to go around to everyone's computer and set them up
    individually.

This stinks but at least it works.
