Xerox 7356 Scanner

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Darren J. Young, Jun 30, 2004.

  1. Anyone know of our Xerox 7356 scanner can be "unmarried" from our Xerox
8830 and function as a stand alone unit or will it only work in
    conjunction with the 8830 printer?

I inquired about this a couple years ago. I was told it was possible. You
would need a PC with a SCSI card and you would need to purchase some type of
scanning software to talk to the scanner. The interface on the top of the
scanner would not work. The software you purchase would control the scanner.
At the time we were looking at upgrading our scanner to the new synergix
scanner that would give us color scanning. We decided against it due to the
high cost. We have since purchased a new Xerox 510 system and are shipping
out old 8830 system to another office.
