Xclip - Image Problem

    I have a set of blocks that represent 12"x12" VCT tiles.
    The block has a .JPG image of the actual tile that has
    been scanned.

    These work great for creating a colored floor plan.
    My problem is that around the outside of the room the
    tiles need to be X'clipped to fit correctly.
    When I X'clip the blocks into rectangular shapes they work
    fine, but any polyline clipping turns out a rectangular area
    of the image the covers all of the polyline.
    I have had this problem on Acad 2000i and Acad 2004.

    I don't understand why the X'clip fails in this case and
    would really like to find a work around.

    System: Acad2000i/20004
    Win2000 pro

    Please help.
