I have heard there is a method for adding non-alphabetic characters and
symbols to the WYSIWYG text editor in Microstation J but I don't know what
it is. Any help as to the procedure would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Gregg

That depends what you mean. The WYSIWYG Text editor shows exactly what each
character in the selected font looks like.

Not all fonts contain all characters. What I would suggest is that you
select a font that has the characters you want. MicroStation provides the
ability to search more than 1 font library. It also has a font utility that
allows you to import fonts and to create your own characters in existing
fonts. The problem with this is if you giver your drawings to someone else
they will not see your modified fonts / characters. That may be OK for you
but we cannot impose that on our clients. The other reason not to do it that
V8 uses MicroStation font libraries, AutoCad fonts and Windows system fonts
and has a vastly improved text editor to deal with special characters and
    font characteristics.
