Writing to custom tab without AutoCAD open

    I would like to be able to write an application that is able to write values to the custom tab on the Properties dialog for AutoCAD without having to open AutoCAD. I am using AutoCAD 2002 at the moment. Is this possible? And if so, what is the best way to go about it?
