I am adopting our company layer standard into the AutoCad Layer
Standards Manager. We have around 1000 standard layers which I have
already typed out in .txt format. My question is; can I import that
into the Standards Manager without having to re-type all the layer
    names and descriptions out?

Is there a file I can edit, or is it possible to do this on the command
line, where I can script the input?

    All help greatly appreciated.

  2. If your txt-file includes only the layer names, some lines lisp will do it.
("read-line" the layer names from the txt-file and a "while" loop with the
(command "-_layer" "_m" ...)). If the txt file also includes additional
informations about the linetypes, the colors and so on it will be possible
too, but we should know more about the concrete format of the txt-file.

I am not creating the layers, but the Layer Standard Style. I found out
yesterday evening that this is particular to ADT/ABS.
