WinXP SP 2 & Solidworks

Microsoft has announced this and you can download the
"WinXPSP2_Documentation.doc" and read up.

I've got a new M60 coming and would like to hear comments from other
SolidWorks users on how WinXP SP2 works with Solidworks 2003 & 2004,
from any Pioneer who has survived the experience.

as far as I know sp2 isn't due out for some months yet -this is just a beta-
the notes you linked to are not complete but discuss some security changes.
much of sp2 is concerned with integrating already available fixes.

You are right I'm jumping the gun and indeed I won't run a server on
the M60.

I'm certainly interested in what happens with XPSP2, as Windows'
Security, being the Oxymoron it is, needs the next SP with all the
bells and whistles properly updated once-and-for-all (so to speak).

I'm never going to be super conversant with all the inner workings of
security on WinXP and indeed hope that I won't have as many concerns
about security on DSL & WiFi with my new laptop once I get SP2 on it.
