windows metafile

    does anyone know if exists any converter for creating windows metafiles
    (wmf) from jpg or other images
    so i cant import them in autocad?

    Irfanview (freeware) converts most photo formats.

    I use ThumbsPlus. If a wmf has a bitmap in it, it offers an "extract bitmap"
    tool on the menus. I don't remember if it is smart enough to do a "save as"
    to a bitmap format or not.

    I mention this not as "your perfect answer" but rather as data which may be
    helpful as you look for your answer.

    but raster data will, of course, remain raster data...

    .... if vectors are prefered, a vectorization can be tried with e.g.
