why is my key-in function disabled? does not work any more?

    for some reason my key-in dialog box is disabled. I tried going to
    utility menu and then key-in and nothing happens. I tried cntrl-G
    and that did not work either. I even whent to custimization--> Menu
    bar-->Utilities, and it is enabled (everything looks fine there). Any
    ideas.

    but I did knoticed that it does work when you call it up in accudraw
    with the "GK" shortcut key.
