They work fine in 2005, but all I get in 2006 is "Are you trying to create a derived part?" -- J Kimmel www.metalinnovations.com "Cuius testiculos habes, habeas cardia et cerebellum." - When you have their full attention in your grip, their hearts and minds will follow.
Finding the "folder" is not necessarily easy, especially since the SolidWorks Help file suggests dragging the forming tool from the appropriate Design Library folder. ("They are stored in <install_dir>\data\design library\forming tools.") One might think that the file could be dragged from a Windows Explorer window onto the face of a sheet metal part in order to create a louvre, for example. (If this is tried, then the message asking whether or not a derived part is to be created shows up.) The dragging operation has to be done from the folder seen in the SolidWorks User Interface's "Task Pane". (If the Task Pane is not displayed, then a hunt is necessary to restore it to the User Interface.) I think it would be far more intuitive and useful to have the APPLICATION of a forming tool available among the Insert / Sheet Metal Per O. Hoel
