using publish in 2005, i imported my files; changed the page set up and location; and hit publish. it goes through the set of files creating each DWF but i cant find em afterwards. ive searched every drive im connected to but nothing.

  3. Hi Buttons,

Do the empty DWF files preview in the publish dialog correctly? Do you get
the same result when you use plot to create a DWF? I'm thinking there is
something with the page setup for the sheets that is the cause.

Have you checked the Publish log for warning or error messages that might
help you identify the problem? When the Publish job is complete, a bubble
appears at the lower right corner of the AutoCAD window to set you know the
    log is available.

This is a long-shot, but are you running Windows 2000 by any chance? If so, try a non-Win2000 machine if available. I had a similar problem with getting empty print/plot files. Our IS department was able to duplicate the problem and concluded that it was a Windows 2000 bug, however it is not mentioned anywhere on Microsoft support. They were surprised that more people weren't having problems and generating some buzz.

    Mike
all i see in the preview is a white blank sheet. if i create a single DWF from the plot dialogue then no problem

    Tim
i checked the log first and solved the first problems but nothing is in the log for the empty DWF's.

and we are running XP pro (but the 2005 beta)

just an update for anyone that's reading. i have checked the log files but all seem ok. i did create a new drawing pasting out everything from the drawing that `shows a blank' into a new file from our template and when i publish the file i get a DWF ok. i checked the page setups in the `bad' file against the new one and they are both using the same PMP files.
    any thoughts?

We have been failing to get the DWF files at all. One particular user has Acad 2002, publishes the required layouts, previews the DWF file; but when the publish command is closed there is no DWF file available.

That machine is a Windows 2000 Pro system.

Has anyone else lost the DWF after it was previewed?
