What's wrong with this assembly?

    Hello people!

I downloaded this caster assembly from the Sunnex website, however when
I attempt to insert the assembly into my main machine assembly I receive
    an error from SWX:

"You cannot insert a document template into another document."

I also noticed that if I open the assembly by double clicking it from
the MS Windows explorer, the filename inside SWX is blank!

I have a copy of the assy & files here:

    http://www.civision.com/customers/Dave/SW3DPS-SLC-600P-DEFAULT.zip

The zip file was downloaded from here:

    http://www.sunnexonline.com/mounts/casters.htm

    Thanks!

    Dave

I tried it and got the same error until I re-saved the caster assembly.
Once I saved the caster assembly it inserted fine.

  5. I just tried it also, and it's a bit strange. I see that the file, as
opened, apparently thinks it's a template, rather than an assy, even though
it has the file ext of sldasm. If you look up at the top at the title bar,
you see that it doesn't really know what it is. But if you save it, it
saves to the same name & ext and then it recognizes it as an assy. I see
that it came from 3DPartStream, so maybe that's the way it works.

    Paul,

Same here. Then I saved it to a different name and it worked.

Yeah, that is pretty much exactly what I see too. I even updated to
SP3.1, and there was no improvement.

It would appear they are using Partstream. Somebody with the username
    mkoch apparently built the model.

When I did a save as to a new name the problem seemed to go away.
