What are these log files?

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by R. Robert Bell, Dec 25, 2003.

  1. Has anyone else noticed how AutoCAD 2002 & 2004 (at the very least) are
creating two log files in the Temp folders?

    ws_ProdProf_<filedate>_<unique#>.log
    ws_NET_<filedate>_<unique#>.log

It almost looks as if an Autodesk programmer forgot to turn off a debugging
    tool. <blech>

  2. I don't get the ws_NET log, just ws_ProdProf. Could it be dependant on what
programming environment is installed? I also noticed that ADT 3.3 doesn't
create the logs . Sure is nice that the date is in there so we get a new one
    each day.

  3. I suppose that is possible, although I don't know why AutoCAD is creating
those log files for the consumer anyway.
