What are the benefits of creating unnamed (anonymous) Blocks?

    It all depends on the purpose.

    I create them out of geometry that I need bound together and that will not be used again. For example, I have a standard symbol that, in a few cases, must be modified. Rather than define a new block that will not be used again, I explode the symbol, modify it as needed for the particular situation, and recreate it as an anonymous block (I have a routine to do this).

    I'm sure different people have different reasons....

  3. Prevent the below to average user from messing with something that needs
    to be maintained - create an anonymous block, minsert it and all but the
    best cad ops can figure it out:)
