Want to grip dimension

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by MarcelGosselin, Dec 12, 2003.

  1. We typical put a note with some dimensions. Dimension on top and note underneath. We use \XNOTE HERE to accomplish this. If the not is too long the dimension text and note pop outside. This is fine, but if we want to grip the text to slide it further out the note pops to topside of dimension line.

    Marcel,

I have come across the same problem, but have not found a solution that
    is viable as of yet.

The only work around that I have been able to come up with is re-typing
    the entire dimension notes

    ie.

    <>\X NOTES HERE

Maybe someone could help write a lisp that would automate this simple
    re-typing of everything.....
