VLE Copy To Clipboard function / Skill script

    I am looking to create a copy-to-clipboard function to replace the
    "yank" cadence function. I wnat to be able to somehow save the
    selected objects ionto a buffer and then paste / place them multiple
    times or until I put some new objects into the buffer. I am thinking
    that I will need to copy the selected items and then make them into a
    cell then delete the cell. Any help would be appreciated
