    Hi NG;

    Is it possible to add a view to a layout through VBA?
    I can add a View to the model but not to the layout.

    Its possible to add it manually via the View command in ACAD
    but it doesn't seem to be possible through VBA.

    Any ideas.

    TIA David

    answered the same question there.

    Hi Mike;

    This is a tough one.
    I have A2k4, WinNT 4 sp6
    but it says
    "User-defined type not defined"
    on this row
    Dim viewObj As IAcadView2

    I think I'm miss some reference but which one.

  6. Hey David,

    ??? Do you have service pack one installed? If you go into the Object
    Browser, you should see IAcadView2 in the tree....If I get a chance this
    afternoon, let me check on one of my other boxes that just has A2K4
    installed. It could be that A2K5 and A2K4 cannot co-exist without mingling
    - despite Autodesk's claim to the opposite. Could be the object dll,
    version 16.1, is overwriting version 16 - although both still show up. If
    that is true, then the answer is you can't til you'd upgrade to 2005 when
    it comes out next month.

    Hi Mike;

    Thanks for taking your time.

    No the IAcadView2 object doesn't show
    up in the Object Browser. Must be an A2k5 object
    as you say. So I'll have to wait for that one to arrive.
