Does anyone know how to make a viewport opaque? I am trying to "blowup"
points on a map, but when I use the viewport to "blowup" the point, the
contours in my main drawing are coming "through" the viewport. It's
like I want to make the "box" of my viewport, not transparent, I only
want to see the model space inside the viewport, not stuff behind it.

    TIA

Once I wanted to do this for different reasons using vanilla AutoCAD.
The 2002 edition doesn't have the extra power tools that the prior and
following versions had, with the wipeout tool. So, I use a 3d face in
model space to hide what I wanted to hide. Of course, I had to set the
    viewport to hide when plotting.

If you do have the wipeout tool, then I would also recommend trying
    that.
