    I am looking for a new video display for my daughter, who is using
    AutoCad for her interior architectural design studies. Presently she is
    using a Viewsonic 19" monitor which is ill and will be replaced on
    warranty but she has mentioned how much easier it is for her when she is
    using Apple monitors at university.

    I would appreciate knowing the experience people have had with their
    monitors. I would like to find a decent display for under $500-600 or
    so. I know monitors are personal taste but I would appreciate some input.

    Thanks

  2. Hi Ken, I don't think it specificly has to be an Apple monitor, right?

    Are those apple monitors bigger, wider, higher resolution? All things
    you daughter can find out at her university.
    Find out what makes those monitors that easy and you can look further.

    Grtz.

    No, I don't think it has to be an Apple. I have seen the Dell 2407 and
    that seems pretty decent (I think it is made by Samsung).

    What are the characteristics that are needed for a good monitor for Auto
    Cad? I am sure that the monitor needs would be much different than for
    gaming.

    Thanks
