Question for the technical crowd. We have engaged the 3GB mode on dell
systems running XP SP2 & SWx 2005 SP0.1. I have activated this mode,
now I want to validate that it is running. Now I can load up our
largest assembly and start an array and take it to its limits, until
SWx crashes or gives me an error. This seems like a harsh way to
    validate that it is running.
Is there another way to validate that this is working?

  2. Not that I have ever found, as in walk up to a machine and see if it's on,
or even what user value it's running on. You can look at the boot.ini file
to see what the default setting is, and then maybe assume that the last time
the machine was booted, the user didn't override the default setting.

I have a benchmark that will verify this. When I get home I can send it
    if you are interested.
