vba for item marks

does anybody have some code that will create ablock with multiple attributes which can be used as an item mark which will automatically add 1 to previous number (ie 1,2,3,4...)

Do you want the code to create the block ?
Do you want the code to find a block which is not already in the drawing ?

The incrementing stuff is very common and all you need do is a Google search
which is sure to find dozens of them. The differences will be in how they
handle the first two questions.
