You can't unless you install intellipoint software that came with your mouse.

  4. I can't remember all the steps I had to go through but I think it took going
to the control panel->mouse and setting the wheel for universal scrolling.
Then in the Wheel ->Scrolling-> Advanced dialog window you disable the wheel
    scrolling for AutoCAD.
Now worry about that last step, cause AutoCAD will still use the wheel
    scrolling just fine.

I downloaded the 5.2 version of the Intellepoint driver and I still can't
make it work for the code window of the VBA IDE.
Do you guys have any other suggestions?

    Thanks for your help

Do you actually have a MS mouse? Logitec, etc? You need the right software
for your mouse. If you do have an MS mouse, I found that 5.2 actually had
less functionality and I stick with 4.1.

  11. Hi Matthew,

I did the same after reading the above posts (My mouse is an MS Intellimouse
    Optical)
After completing the installation and the mandatory reboots etc. my computer
was behaving like a dog. The keyboard would not work in some programs and
the mouse would not work in others. Fortunately another turn-off turn-on
    sequence fixed all that

But, after all that it had not solved the problem of scrolling in the VBA
environment - not could I see the setting options Jorge suggested.

Jorge, the revision history states that it has been redundant for
Intellipoint since ver 2.2. Hence, this app hasn't been updated in 5 years.
I'd be a little leary about installing it. Especially if you have
    Intellipoint.

  13. Works like a treat and I have XP and the latest Intellimouse drivers
    installed.
I had the same problem he had, but I didn't remember how it was that I
    solved it,
until I looked at all my taskbar items and remembered why I had this little
    app on.

I have an Intellimouse Explorer and Intellipoint 4.1 and can scroll in a
code window, without the need for any other app.

I have a "Wireless Optical Mouse Blue" I have installed version 4.10 of the
intellimouse driver. It still does not work. I have the AutoCAD Application
added to the Advanced Wheel Settings dialog found under the Advanced button
of the Wheel tab of the Mouse Properties dialog.

    Thanks

  16. I have an "MS Optical Mouse Blue USB" and the VBA code window did not
    scroll.
    With the "FreeWheel" it does.
