    Greetings!

For many years I've been able to pick objects in model space
then go to the layer drop down box on the toolbar and pick a
new layer to place the objects on. Suddenly this no longer works!
Also, no matter what layer was current once an object was picked
the layer drop down box would automatically change to show
what layer the object was on. This has quit also. I'm very confused.
I haven't run any lisps, scripts or changed any variables and no one
else touches any of the dwgs. I thought maybe some kind of file
corruption so I re-installed with no success. What next???

    Thanks

Thanks!!!!! I was having to pick items, call up the properties dialog
    and change them from there.

    Thanks again!!

for struggling autocad users and provide free of cost LISP ? VBA
routines (smaller ones. Big ones you may have to pay)

There are plenty of fora for "struggling autocad users", we don't need
yours with added adverts, go away!
