i am deliberating whether to purchase a pc laptop or a G4 powerbook. i
am more interested in the mac because of the greater speed it has when
using rendering programmes such as 3DMax. What is holding me back is
the use of some pc applications such as autocad 2000, which i use to
create the majority of my drawings in. i would like some advice as to
what i should do here. Does virtual pc offer the best of both worlds
on the mac, or does it hinder its performance alot? PC or Mac? as an
architect i should be slighlty more decisive here :) i would
appreciate any views on this matter.... and hopefully, i will come to
a well informed decision as to what i should do.

    But not max?
Determine what software you want to run. Determine what OS it runs under.
Determine what computer runs that OS. Buy that computer.
