I've asked this question before, but I still need
    clarification.

I'm using Ustation V8.1. I have several hundred
autocad EE symbols in a separate file. How can
I use these symbols in my dgn as cells? I've
tried converting, but couldn't get it to work.

Any help would again be appreciated.

    TIA,

    Dennis

  2. Use the EXPORT CELLS SHARED key-in to export blocks (or shared cells) from a
DWG file to a new MicroStation cell library.

First create a new cell library.
Then use this keyin: EXPORT CELLS SHARED cell_library_name

For example: export cells shared d:\testing\mycells.cel

  3. You basically need to get Microstation to point to the DWG files as cells.

To do this edit the Config Variable MS_CELLLIST and add an entry which
    includes

    yourdirectorypath\*.dwg

When you open the cell Library dialog, click on Display all Cells in Path.
The Autocad blocks will appear with Blck in the "Where" column or Shrd if
they have already been placed in your drawing.

I'll try and send you a document offline which might explain this more
    fully.
