    Hi,
Does anyone have a feature palette part for forming a louvre in a sheet
    metal part?

I've been trying to create one myself, but it either fails to create the
louvre (says the corner rads may be too small for the sheet thickness), or
if I fix that with a load of large fillets, it no longer gives the result I
    require.

I'm not bothered what the size is as I can edit this afterwards - I'm just
trying to make something that can be used as a handle in a cover.

    TIA,
    John Harland

Don't worry - I eventually found the folder where a sample file was stored.

Yes - Finding the "folder" is not necessarily easy, especially since
the SolidWorks Help file suggests dragging the forming tool from the
appropriate Design Library folder. ("They are stored in
    <install_dir>\data\design library\forming tools.")

One might think that the file could be dragged from a Windows Explorer
window onto the face of a sheet metal part in order to create a louvre,
    for example.

As you found out (and I was reminded after not having done it for a
while), the dragging operation has to be done from the folder seen in
the SolidWorks User Interface's "Task Pane".

I think it would be far more intuitive and useful to have the
APPLICATION of a forming tool available among the Insert / Sheet Metal
