update to Usr6 for dummies

Hello All,

In my company, we are sill using 5.1 usr3.

My boss asked me to a most recent version. Because of license issues,
i need to update first to 5.1 usr6 and then to 6.1x.

but i have no idea about the way to do that.
I don't know if i have to replace the old files bu the new one, if i
have to write some setup scripts ...
What about our simulators ?

To make short a long story : Help me please to do correctly the
update!
(bindkeys, environnment, setup, simulators ... and so on)


Any help would be very appreciated !

Hi bubu,

Not sure I've got your question but the solution is pretty simple.
Just go the SourceLink, download the hotfix you are interested in and
that's it. Put the new stream in a different directory altogether,
don't update/overwrite the existing installations.
When you have finished installing, you could use installScape to
configure and test your stream. Simple as that.
