I am using the Analog design environment in Cadence. When I source the
initilization file before starting the CDE (Cadence Design
Environment), it says "UnicadKernel_versionxx" not found. Is this an
error or a warning message? Does it mean I don't have access to some
of the tools (such as layout editor/waveform tools etc)? Will I still
be able to run a simulation and expect valid simulation results?
    Thank you

I think this comes from ST Microelectronics Environment setup. I don't know what
the impact is (Unicad is the ST Microelectronics environment) - so you should
    contact them.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Dear Aprameya,

Andrew's right, UnicadKernel is an STMicroelectronics tool.
Please drop me an email on my personal mailbox and I shall give you
contacts that are likely to help you on this issue.
This tool has to be loaded as part of your ucdprod but I'll let the ST
guys giving you all the details.

    Regards,
    Riad.

As per my experience in this regard(while in ST almost 7yrs ago) you
need to check whether your .ucdprod file is correctly created(with all
    the modules with proper versions).
You need to run uker-conf command on the prompt to configure that
file. Please correct me if I am wrong.
