    I print on a HP120
I changed the settings to 'best printing' to print a 11" x 17" flyer. Everything worked fine.
One 11" x 17" print jammed. I pulled the mangled page out and continued to print. I didn't notice that the printer had run out of paper, the printer tried to print, found no paper and froze. The shut off button wouldn't work for a while, then it shut itself off.
I changed the setting back to 'normal' and printed a 24"x36". The lines that are supposed to be blue are purple, the lines that are supposed to be red are light red. The front panel indicates that I have enough ink for each color.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi, I have an HP1050c wide carriage that may be similar. It sounds like your print head carriage may have become mis-aligned in the jam. I have seen this happen before. There should be a utility from the menu system on the plotter to re-align the print heads. I don't remember if that's exactly what they call it, but check under the utilities menu. Run the utility and in about 5 minutes you should be back in business - (I think). HTH
