Where might I find a good tutorial that teaches VBA? I would really like to
learn this, but most of the tutorials that I have seen are for specific
applications and not the whole scope of things, ie "How to turn off layers
using VBA" and the sort. I want to learn it to draw specific details, like
    trusses.
    TIA

  2. I bought a few books on the subject and I would recommend Marion Cunningham
"Master VBA for Autocad" or something like it (book is at my office!). I use
it in steel structure, automating columns, beams and connections drawing .
    So far I got 1-Column/baseplate 2-Shearplate 3-Single clip and 4-Double
    clip.

Still to come: Berger cantilever, bracing on beams and colums.

I also have Joe Sutphin "Autocad 2000 programmer" and I dont think it is so
good as a tutorial, but it is an excellent reference book.

You will have a LOT of fun!!

It depends from where you actually start, did you ever write code.

Joe Sutpin's book is a good one to start with, but it's for AutoCAD VBA, you
might a good initiation to the VB itself.
