two license files in one?

  1. Hi I am sure that this has ben asked a ton, I am sorry, I am in a huge time crunch, and will start scrolling through the old posts after I send this. Anywy, I am trying to append my old ADT 3.3 license with the new ADT 5 license. I copy pasted the new file in, 3.3 works fine, but I am getting "(Error: 6 licenses, unsupported by licensed server)" when I run a query. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I read in another post about spaces, but I don't know where I should and should not have spaces? I have the 9.22 lmtools version. THanks for any help, sorry to ask redundant questions.

Glad you got it fixed and don't have to talk to yourself anymore
    <Friendly smile>.

The answer to a question a few posts back is yes you may post
files to any discussion group now. They have to be under 1 meg
and always zipped if possible to cut down on download time for
those not on high speed access.

  5. Is there any kind of issue with posting license text that may contain serial
numbers, or authorization codes, or whatever else may be in one of those
    thingies? Thanks Anne.

I personally wouldn't post my software serial numbers or
authorization codes but there are no discussion group
prohibitions on doing so. IF someone had a pirated copy of the
software, they might be able to use your numbers. (my opinion,
not from Autodesk technical support point of view).

I'll see if I can get an answer.

  7. Anne's advice is good. Posting serial numbers, hostnames and IP addresses
can reveal information best keep private. If you feel the need to post
files containing this information, it is best to use a search and replace to
disguise all such identifying information. If someone really needs to see
the exact information then perhaps you should consider the problem beyond
the scope of newsgroup assistance and seek help from another avenue.
