two files contemporary

  1. HOW can I open two o more file contemporary like Autocad?

    Why a bad habit Simon? It's very useful sometimes to work on related
    drawings. I know people that run multiple MicroStations to get around this
    but MDI is far more efficient.

    15 AutoCAD users spread out over 2 offices on the same LAN, working on
    about 200 DWG files. It doesn't take long before most users have tied up
    dozens of files via MDI, leading to enormous downtime while users sort
    it all out. This also (in rare cases) leads to users copying files down
    to a local drive to work--Uh-oh.
    Nope, really bad workflow...
    I hope Bentley ties MDI to a cfg var, so we can turn it off and lock it
    (or only allow two files, max.)
