    Hey,

I'm building a workspace on our network.
Everything works accept the DXF/DWG conversion!

When I'm in the dialog "DWG / DXF Export" and I press on the [Export]
button, the status says "Running Basic File...
prefs\dwgdata\dwgcontrol.bas". At that moment I get an alert: "Unable
to open data file:" That's it. No more conversion.

does anybody know witch data file MicroStation uses for this
translation or where I can tell MicroStation witch data file to use???

    Please help.

By the way: I'm using MicroStation/J

In dwgcontrol.bas it stores the name including full path to the mapping
tables it uses for layers, lone styles, weight etc., which by default is
"c:\bentley\home\prefs\dwgdata". When you export and the Export dialog
appears, select each of the options from the Settings menu and select the
server based location. Alternatively, open dwgcontrol.bas and search and
    replace the path
The only other thing that comes to mind is that during the changes in MS/J
some of the tables changed, possibly the hatching ones?
If you have different versions of MS/J accessing the same data that could be
    the problem.

I don't know where you are with this issue, but we have discovered
that using the Import command in a MSJ file gives you more control and
better results since it allows you to import in a file with the proper
    seed file setup.

    Just a suggestion. Good luck.
