Please help... I always have this trouble with true type fonts. When someone gives me a drawing that has a true type font that my ACAD doesn't recognize (and then substitutes a font) I would like to know how to install that true type font in my cad. I work on a network and that is where we keep all of our fonts and we are all pathed to that folder.
    Thanks

You no doubt have all the standard fonts that come with windows, plus the Acad
specials that make the mtext editor such a pleasure. When someone sends a file
with special fonts you will have to get the font from them and then have the it
guru install it. You can put .shx files on your own machine, in the fonts
folder, but it doesn't help to put ttfs there, they have to be installed into
    the Windows Fonts directory.
