We are using ACAD 2002 and have Tahoma true type font in the title block. We plot to several devices most HP LaserJet 8150 or one Cannon iR 5000. Sometimes the font plots bold (or thick). Nothing else in the drawing is effected. It seems to be hit-or-miss and is happening on several computers but not with every drawing. I have plotted the same drawing on another machine without problem. I have checked the textstyle and it is set to normal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  2. One thing you might want to try is to use the Plotter manager to edit the
pc3 file and under the Graphics set it to convert True Type fonts as
graphics instead. This will help you determine if it's something in the
drawing or if it is the way the plotter is handling the True Type fonts.

Thank so much for the help. I checked everything you suggested and it looked like our settings were good. I was about to go crazy when, as they say, “even a blind squirrel occasionally stumbles upon a nutâ€. I am somewhat ashamed to admit it, but the TEXTFILL variable was set to 0. I know this should make the text plot hollow, but with the font being small and now plotting the color to a pen width, it appeared solid and bold.
