    Gentlemen:

I am having a small issue with an EXCEL based BOM.

It is in an exploded assembly of 17 parts. I made the BOM format by
customizing one of the samples that came with Solidworks 2004. What
happens is this.......when I send the drawing to a printer, it adds
duplicate items to the BOM. On screen, right in front of my eyes, just
after I click PRINT. If I turn off the automatic updating function
this doesn't happen. But, if I use one of the sample BOM formats that
comes with the program it doesn't do this annoying thing. I can leave
automatic updating on and everything is fine.

The help file is lacking on EXCEL BOM topics.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. This happens when you erase (and possibly move also?) one
of the standard columns. Try a different BOM template.
