wondering if there is a method/command to pick multiple objects to
trim/extend instead of having to select each object individually

After you start the command, hit enter again. Everything in the drawing
will be selected, however they will not highlight. I would advice using "No
Extend" option if you do this. You could also use a "P"revious selection
set if one was created in another command.

    what about using fence?

When asked to select the objects to extend/trim, type: F
then draw your fence line (pline) across the entities that you want

  4. Just a note:
We use Acad LT - sometimes when working with drawings created with
Architectural Desktop, selecting everything may lock the drawing up. Has to
do with the 3d & Object enablers. Something to keep an eye out for.
