topology and "islands"

    hi all,

    does anyone know if you can create a topology with "islands" in autocad
    map3d? I am working on a project, and one of the areas has been
    designated "Open Space", but I have a pedestrian walkway that "cuts"
    through it. I have made topologies before on ARCVIEW, but I have not
    done a topology like this in Autocad Map.

    I'm on Autocad Map 3d 2005 and win2k.
