toolbar icons

I've noticed something now for 2 years and at first I thought
I was going crazy. But I've seen it so many times now I know
that it is really happening. I suspect this may be a windows
thing and not a cad thing , however I've noticed it under both
win98 and winXP. I'm wondering if anyone else has this and why
    it does it ???
Sometimes my toolbar icons are smaller in some drawings than in
other drawings. And no I did not change the machines display
resolution, it is still 800x600 like always, and no I did not change to
"Large Icons" in the Cad display preferences , these settings are
always the same because I've checked them lately every time this
happens. It's so noticeable on my machine because I have my toolbars
positioned vertically on the screen and they are maxed out with no
more room at the bottom. But every now and then a drawing will open
up and there will be room for 2 more icons at the bottom ??? Oh and
also just in case you assume I'm an idiot, the commandline height is
always the same too. And any addon arx menus are not any more height
    than before. Any input ????

  2. This has been discussed at length in the past. I think the answer was
that that it's an interaction between Internet Explorer and AutoCAD, but
it's been a long time. It's real, and you're not alone. No real fix
that I know of other than restart Autocad.
