When using SW and find references, to copy files to CDrom or DVD, be
careful, that the whole file name, is no more than 128 characters long.

These file names will include, spaces, the directory(s)and (sub
    directory(s)), from the root directory.

Any files that have a name longer than 128 characters, will be shortened,
and you will have problems opening assemblies and drawings with assemblies
    in them.

    Hi Pete,

in some burning software e.g. "nero" you have the possibility
to lower the "ISO restriction settings" like "path depth more than 8"
and "more than 255 characters" This CD format still can be read on
99% of Win based PCs, so you should get rid of your described problem.
On the other hand it is always usefull to think about some general
naming conventions for an easier data exchange with collegues or if you
use an additional PDM-data base software.

    Good luck
