Are you in V8? If so, you can use the Batch Processor in the Utilities Menu to select your files and create a command file to run your macro in each file. If you are using an earlier version of Microstation, you will need the Design File Processor mdl application (filepro.ma) which allows you to do this. Hi Pritt there is a much easier way write a script file that will open all the drawings one at a time and perform the operation you want. If you do most of the work in excel you can use the fill range tools to increament etc then save as asci text then while in ustn in the first file run the script file from the keyin command window such as @c:\docs\myscriptfile.txt Do a search on all the news groups there was a particulary good example a while back of running a script file to open all files in a directory for processing like delete text close views 3,4 save and open next file and repeat.. Otherwise its the command line in dos with msbatch...
check out article and example of script files that open mutliple files and process views etc http://bubba.adagebooks.com/bc/articles/ Excellent information over 5 pages.. Lorys
