    Hello all,

I have to do some drawings for BMW. They need the drawings in dgn
format. I only have the AutoCAD LT 2005. With that program I've drawn
everything in Paper and Modelspace. The translation-program I've found
to translate from DWG in DGN only uses the model space of the drawing.
How can I get everything in the model space?

    Yours sincerly

  2. Pardon the plug, but you might want to consider something like Bentley PowerDraft 2004 Edition, which works on DWG files natively.
If you would like more information on this, let me know offline...

  3. Pardon the help, but make a block out of the paperspace stuff, go to
modelspace and insert it with an appropriate scale factor, UCS and insertion
point. This assumes you haven't clipped the MS stuff with a port, or have
    more than one port.

Could well be wrong here - no time to check - but I thought
Microstation could open dwg files. If they only open the Modelspace
component then you will have to follow the advice of MichaelB
