Is there a way to attribute mtext to a dimension? So that when the
dimension changes (like if the object is modified) it will correspond with
an attributed mtext and make the correct changes?

    Sorry for the confusion...

I would like an Mtext to associate to the dimtext. The Mtext may even be on
another layout from the referenced dimension.

  3. You can put in an associative dimension, and then edit its text content just
like Mtext (minus a few of Mtext's regular features, I think). You can use
Enters to make multiple lines, etc. The actual measured dimension is
represented by <> in the text content, so if you leave it that way, it will
update if you stretch the dimension, even if it's embedded within a
    paragraph of text.

In other words, you don't need to attribute Mtext to a dimension -- instead,
you can treat a dimension's text like Mtext.

    If you have 2005:
    Take a look at fields
They may do what you want

Let's say I have a box. This box has a dimension pulled on it that reads
2'-0", all done on Layout 01. I have a Mtext that represents that specific
dimtext on Layout 24 that I would like to update just like the dimtext would
if the box were modified. Is it possible?

Dimassoc = 2 and you use "scale dimensions to layout" it should work - works for me!

You set that under the mtext? I don't get it. How do you get the Mtext on
one layout to match the dimtext on the dimesion on another layout? Does
Mtext even understand the dimassoc comand?

As far as I know you have to set up a reactor to read dimension text between two layouts. I'm not ever sure if you can read the actually dimension text if it is default (ie. <>).

    | LINK DIMENSION AND TEXT OR MTEXT

    Flippin sweet!!!

That is perfect! I can't thank you enough, but I can complain about it a
    bit... ;-)
Is there any way it could utalize stacked dimensions? My dimtext is stacked
and the autostacker is turned on for mtext, but it doesn't comply. I will
toy with the code a bit and see if I can get it to work, but you may know
    off hand.

BTW - that is a great site you have. Not just for the downloads, but an
overall nice site layout and friendly use. Thnaks for sharing!!!
