Text manipulation utilities for Inventor files?

    I am a technical translator who sometimes works with AutoCAD files. A
    new client uses Inventor, and they want us to translate the text in
    some Inventor files: IAM,IDW, and IPT.

    I can't open them, but I'm not sure I need to. In the past I have
    used a couple of different programs to extract all the text from DWG
    files, translate the text files using Computer-Assisted Translation
    software outside of AutoCAD, then replace the original text with the
    translations in the DWG files.

    Does anyone know of any utilities that would do the same for Inventor
    files?
